Day by Day Itinerary  

Day 1 | Arrival into Athens

Welcome to Athens! Upon your arrival, our driver will be there to greet you and facilitate a private transfer to your accommodation in the city. After checking into your hotel, you will have the remainder of the day at your disposal. You may choose to relax and enjoy the hotel amenities, including a rooftop garden that offers breathtaking views of the Acropolis, or you may wish to explore the area. Located in the picturesque Plaka neighborhood, your hotel provides easy access to historic attractions, distinctive boutiques, souvenir shops, and inviting sidewalk cafes where you can savor a glass of wine while immersing yourself in the local ambiance.

Day 2: Private Walking Tour of the Acropolis in Athens

This morning presents an excellent opportunity to explore the Greek capital through a private tour of Athens' prominent highlights. The tour commences with a visit to the Acropolis, a landmark that signifies the foundations of Western civilization and democracy. This exclusive experience will provide a comprehensive understanding of the history surrounding the Acropolis and its monuments, including the Parthenon. Subsequently, your guide will escort you through the picturesque cobblestone streets of Plaka, one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, located at the base of the Acropolis and home to several Roman monuments.

Day 3 | Athens & Kea / Friday Sailings

Your cruising journey commences today. Following your hotel check-out, a private transfer will be arranged to the Port of Piraeus. As you set sail, a welcome drink will be served while you navigate the scenic Attica coast. Conditions permitting, the ship will also pass by Cape Sounion, offering a unique perspective of the Temple of Poseidon from the water. Conclude your day with dinner as you make your way to Kea, where you will overnight at sea.

Day 4 | Delos - Mykonos

This morning, you will awaken on the picturesque shores of Delos Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its historical significance and extensive ruins dating back to the 5th-4th centuries BC. You will the opportunity to admire the well-preserved Venetian and Byzantine architecture, intricate mosaics, temples, a theater, and statues that reflect the island's rich heritage. Following your visit, you will proceed to nearby Mykonos, with a scheduled swim stop en route. Upon arrival, you will have the remainder of the day to explore at your leisure, whether that involves visiting a beautiful sandy beach, viewing the iconic windmills overlooking Little Venice, or wandering through Mykonos Town, which features a variety of upscale shops.

Day 5 | Santorini

Get ready to soak in breathtaking views as you cruise from Mykonos to Santorini! Once you arrive, you'll be captivated by the stunning caldera that awaits you. Dive into an optional tour to uncover the island's hidden gems, or set off on your own adventure! Discover the vibrant Red Beach with its fiery sands, charming traditional villages adorned with whitewashed Cycladic architecture and iconic blue-domed churches, and the incredible archaeological site of Akrotiri. This remarkable Pompeii-like settlement offers a fascinating glimpse into life from 3,700 years ago, preserved under volcanic ash from the massive eruption in 1600 BC.

Day 6 | Rethymno, Crete

Get ready for an exciting day in Crete! You have the option to embark on a thrilling tour of the ancient palace of Knossos, the crown jewel of Crete’s archaeological wonders, located near Heraklion. Step back in time to the Minoan civilization, thriving from 1700 to 1400 BC, and marvel at the incredible remnants of their water supply and sewage systems still on display! If you prefer to stay local, dive into the charm of Old Town Rethymno, where you can stroll along the stunning Venetian harbor, admire the lighthouse, and explore the majestic 16th-century citadel. Later this evening, we’ll set sail for Kythira!

Day 7 | Kythira

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as your Variety ship sails towards the stunning Kythira! Once you arrive at this hidden gem, dive into the sparkling turquoise waters and discover a paradise of beautiful beaches and history waiting to be explored. Day 8 | Monemvasia - Nafplion

Get ready for an exciting adventure as we set off early this morning to Monemvasia a breathtaking medieval walled town beautifully carved into a rock! This enchanting Old Town, known as “the Gibraltar of the East” by the Venetians, feels like a living museum, brimming with stunning Byzantine and Venetian architecture, now home to charming shops, delightful restaurants, and boutique hotels. Don’t miss the fabulous views from the Fortress of Youlas that will leave you in awe! Afterward, we’ll continue to Nafplion, one of the region’s most picturesque towns, with a refreshing swim stop along the way. You’ll have plenty of time to wander through the narrow, captivating streets of the historic center at your own pace!

Day 9 | Hydra

This morning, a brief drive will take you to Mycenae, where you have the opportunity to participate in an optional tour of this UNESCO-listed site. This Bronze-age acropolis, situated atop a hill, played a significant role in classical Greek culture. The ancient city was abandoned over 2,000 years ago and is now recognized as an important archaeological site. This afternoon, you will continue your cruise to the tranquil island of Hydra, where exploration offers a unique experience free from the noise of car engines, as vehicles are not permitted. Transportation on the island is provided by donkey, on foot, or by boat. The day will conclude with the Captain’s Farewell Dinner as you return to Athens.

Make sure your bags are packed and ready to go your driver will be waiting for you right after disarkation for a seamless private transfer to Athens’ airport.
