Day by Day Itinerary

Arrival to Athens, where you’ll be met and greet by our private driver and transferred to your hotel in the city. Check in to hotel by 14:00, you will have the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the Plaka region where your hotel is situated or explore one of the many great rooftop bars that are ideal for taking in a view. Full Day Athens Tour With a Local Guide (Duration 10hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning proceed for the F/D Guided Panoramic Tour of Athens. Enjoy the views of Syntagma Square, Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Zeus, The Theater of Dionysus, the Agora where Socrates taught, the Presidential Palace and the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held. Then proceed to the Acropolis to view the Parthenon and visit the Acropolis museum. The afternoon is free at leisure to explore Athens in the comfort of your vehicle. You may choose to visit the National Archaeological museum or Cape Sounion to view the Temple of Poseidon.

Athens - Corinth Canal - Epidaurus Theatre - Tolo - Nafplio

This day starts with a trip to Nafplion. You drive along the Coastal Road to the Corinth Canal. The Corinth Canal will be our first short stop. You’ll explore the 4th-century BC theater in Epidaurus and then head to the country’s first capital, Nafplio where you can climb the 999 steps of Palamidi Castle or hop on a small boat to visit Bourtzi which floats in the bay. There will be time for an optional lunch followed by a visit to ancient Mycenae and its archaeological site which includes the tomb of Agamemnon, Stay at night in Nafplion

Nafplio - Mycenae - Wine Tasting - Sparta - Mystras - Monemvasia

After breakfast at your hotel, we will drive to the site of Homer's, Mycenae, (a UNESCO Heritage site). They were the Kingdom of Atreus and Agamemnon and is the most important and rich palatial center of the late bronze age in Greece. From there you will head towards Nemea, an ancient site in the northeastern part of the Peloponnese for some wine tasting at famous Skouras winery. Continue your tour with your local guide to Modern Sparta that was built exactly in the same location as the ancient city. The ancient site that we will visit afterwards, will astound you. Continue to Mystras, one of the most unique and picturesque site of Greece. Mystras was built as an amphitheatre around the fortress erected in 1249. After visiting the Mystras, make your way to Monemvasia a town located on a small island of the east coast of the Peloponnese. Upon arrival free time to explore. Monemvasia - Gythio - Mani

This day after your breakfast starts with a tour inside the Castle of Monemvasia. With your local guide explore the Tower Town of Monemvasiá, a mystical stone-built settlement that was founded by the Byzantines in the sixth century. Walk along the cobbled street. Visit lovely churches. The Church of Agia Sofia located at the highest point of Monemvasia. Before leaving Monemvasia, taste culinary delights and get memorable panoramic photos of the endless blue! On the way to Mani we stop at Gythio, a beautiful seaside town on the southern side of Peloponnese in the peninsula of Laconia. Enjoy a delicious meal in a traditional tavern. After lunch, you’ll be driven to Mani. Upon arrival free time to explore. A lovely city Aeropoli, known for its powerful landscape! Mani is almost untouched by time. Stay at night in Aeropoli.

Mani - Kardamili - Kalamata

In the morning after breakfast. On the way to Kalamata, following the coastal road we will make a stop at Stoupa and Kardamili. Kardamili a small picturesque town by the sea, is one of the seven cities offered by Agamemnon to Achilleas as a condition to rejoin the fight during the Trojan War. Here you can find the church of St Spyridon, The tombs of the Dioskouri. There you will have the time to swim at the Messenean Gulf, spend some time on the beautiful coast and have lunch by the sea. Continue to Kalamata where you will spend the rest of the day. Kalamata stands as one of the most beautiful cities of Peloponnese having a coastal pedestrian road offered for an evening walk. Stay at night in Kalamata.

Kalamata - Koroni - Foinikounta - Methoni - Pylos

On the following day relax and anjoy a trip to Pylos. On the way to Pylos, with your local guide we will stop at Ancient Messene to visit the archaeological site and the museum. Messene is an unbelievable site and one of the most fully excavated cities in Greece. Marvel the castle of Koroni which dominates Akritas cape, on the southern edge of the Messinian Gulf. It is one of the finest examples of the Venetian fortress architecture and amongst the few of each kind to encompass houses and churches. It was built by the Venetians in the 13th century and revamped by the Ottomans in the 16th. 11 km away you will enjoy a stop for lunch in the town Foinikounta. From Foinikounta we then head to Methoni a beautiful beach area and home to Methoni castle. There you will have the time to swim. next stop Pylos a picturesque town, home to the Old Navaroino castle, the new fortress known as Neokastro, the ancient Aqueduct and Nestors Palace. Stay at night in Pylos

Pylos - Olympia

The day starts with a trip to Olympia, following the western coastal road of Peloponnese side by side with the Ionian Sea. The sunlight brings a verdant glow to the surrounding agricultural region of Olympia. The fragrant aroma of cypress trees and olive groves blend in the breeze. The myths of the ancient city of Olympia continue to captivate people around the world, beginning with the legend of Zeus holding the first Olympic Games on the ancient site to commemorate his besting Cronus at wrestling. Lush greenery surrounds the historic ruins of Olympia. The spirit of the Olympics continues to thrive in the modern world thousands of years after the first games were held. Your guide leads you through the celebrated grounds of the city. This date you will have a tour to ancient Olympia and museum, the rest of the day will be yours free to explore or just relax and enjoy the serenity in the small village of Olympia. After breakfast, follow the south coast of Peloponnese and visit Diros Caves, a secret underground world. The magic of the colour and the beautiful shapes, formed by the stalactites and stalagmites makes a unique spectacle. About 5,000 meters have been exposed and accessible by small boats and through narrow passageways. The trip through these underground waterways will be etched in your mind forever. After visiting the caves, the rest of the day is free for swimming (summer period) and visiting the rest villages, Gerolimenas, Neo Itilo, Limeni and Vatheia where little towers emerge from a hillside. Travel back to the past by wandering about the settlements’ alleys. Stay at night in Mani.

Olympia - Patra - Rio-Antirio bridge - Athens

Next morning after breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart for Athens. On the way to Athens we will stop at Patra (the western capital of Greece), we will reach the bridge (Charilaos Trikoupis) of Rio-Antirio. It connects the Peloponnese Peninsula to the mainland and is considered a miracle of engineering. This bridge one of the world’s longest multi-span cable-stayed bridges is the longest of the fully suspended type. There you will have stop for lunch by the sea. After lunch continue back to Athens. Stay at night in Athens.
