Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival into Athens
Arrival to Athens, where you’ll be met and greet by our private driver and transferred to your hotel in the city. Check in to the hotel by 14:00. You will have the rest of the day at leisure, exploring Plaka region where your hotel is situated. Enjoy sampling some of the delicious Greek street food with some of the city’s very best eats often found along the streets including souvlaki, the well-known dish that originated in ancient Greece or explore one of the many great rooftop bars that are ideal for taking in a view. Stay at night in Athens.

Day 2 | Acropolis Private Walking Tour - Athens
Breakfast at the hotel. One of the best ways to experience Athens is on a private guided tour. You’ll be led by a Greek Local guide on this private excursion of Acropolis Hill and you will have the opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Ancient Athens is one of Europe's oldest cities, one with a continuous history whose beginnings can be traced some 5.000 years ago. After Acropolis we will head to Athens Central Market, tasting your way through a wide range of local gastronomic delights while getting to know the artisans who created them. Plaka is known for its many historical monuments including the Ancient Agora, the Roman Agora, the Tower of the Winds, and Hadrian’s Library.

Day 3 | Fly to Mykonos
After checking out of your hotel, Our driver will transfer you to Athens Airport for your morning flight to the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos, one of the world’s most coveted island destinations. You will be whisked to your hotel on arrival, where once you have checked in, you will have the rest of the day at leisure. Mykonos is that picture-perfect destination with winding streets lined with art galleries, boutiques and interesting shops. The isle offers plenty of beauty to gaze at including the iconic windmills that overlook Mykonos Town. where you’ll be able to catch one of its glorious sunsets and take part in the lively nightlife.
Today is the chance to learn about the art Greek art of cooking into Greek local culture and the traditional way of life in a Mykonian cooking class. You’ll be welcomed into a Greek local’s home where you’ll listen to stories about the family’s life and wander through the vegetable garden, learning about local organic farming while nibbling on delicious Mykonos meze like dakos with kopanisti cheese and tomato. In the kitchen, you’ll use some of those fresh ingredients to prepare a meal with dishes like spinach pie and tsatziki as the instructor guides you through the process.

Day 4 | Ancient Epidaurus - Nafplion
We leave our ship early in the morning to drive to Ancient Epidaurus for our optional excursion. This incredible site was celebrated across the Greek world as a healing sanctuary, and its magnificent theater, renowned for its astonishing acoustics, is still captivating audiences today with its 15,000 seats! After a delightful lunch onboard, we'll sail into the afternoon towards the charming Nafplion, where we'll spend the night in port.
Day 5 | Nafplion - Mycenae - Monemvasia
After a short walking tour of Nafplion, drive through the colorful city and the beautiful countryside of Argolis towards Mycenae for an optional excursion. The importance of the city, which Homer calls “rich in gold” begins in 1650 B.C and ceases around 1100 B.C with the fall of the civilization to which it gives name. Visit the remains of the glorious ancient city including the Lion’s Gate, the Palace, the so called Agamemnon Tomb and the museum. Lunch on board and sailing towards Monemvasia. Early evening arrival and time at lei-sure for exploring this remarkable medieval fortified town and birthplace of one of the most important Greek poets, Giannis Ritsos, who enjoyed international reputation and radiation. Overnight at sea to Gythion
Day 6 | Gythion
Morning arrival in Gythion, the ancient naval base of Spartans. Optional excursion to Mani peninsula and Cape Tenaro, plus the spectacular Dirou Caves with their stalactites and stalagmites. Leaving Gythion we will cross the scenic Mani Peninsula to reach Diros and visit the spectacular cave, the entrance of which re-mained sealed for about 4.500 years until being discovered around the 60s. After visiting the cave, we will drive to nearby Areopolis for a short stroll through the town. Mani, which is at the tip of the Peloponnese, is a distinctive area and desolate region of underground lakes and rivers, windswept landscapes and towers, which keeps the spirit of the warriors once lived and fought here alive. Dinner onboard and late evening sail-ing to Pylos. Overnight at sea.
Day 7 | Pylos
This morning, you will awaken on the picturesque shores of Delos Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its historical significance and extensive ruins dating back to the 5th-4th centuries BC. You will the opportunity to admire the well-preserved Venetian and Byzantine architecture, intricate mosaics, temples, a theater, and statues that reflect the island's rich heritage. Following your visit, you will proceed to nearby Mykonos, with a scheduled swim stop en route. Upon arrival, you will have the remainder of the day to explore at your leisure, whether that involves visiting a beautiful sandy beach, viewing the iconic windmills overlooking Little Venice, or wandering through Mykonos Town, which features a variety of upscale shops.
Day 8 | Katakolon - Ancient Olympia
Early morning arrival in port of Katakolon, in Pyrgos, which in ancient times was the natural harbour for An-cient Olympia and in the Middle Ages was the site of the so called ''Pontikokastro'', or ''Beauvoir'' or ''Bel Vedere'' Castle. Katakolon is also known for being the birthplace of Yiannis Latsis, the Greek shipping multi-billionaire tycoon, who's paternal home operates today as Museum of Ancient Greek Technology as well as its historical lighthouse. Today, our optional excursion takes us by bus to Olympia, one of the most famous and important sites in the ancient world. Olympia is revered as the birthplace of the Olympic Games and the greatest Pan-Hellenic sanctuary for the worship of Zeus. The most thrilling site at Olympia is the very stadi-um, which looks much like it did more than 2,000 years ago. Explore the Temple of Hera, the magnificent temple of Zeus, the Philippeion, built to honour the family of Alexander the Great, and the Leonidion, lodg-ing place for the athletes. We later visit the Olympia Museum, one of the most beautiful museums in the world, hosting many astonishing exhibits. Traditional lunch in the town of Olympia and optional visit to the museum of the History of the Olympic Games of Antiquity (provided it is open in the afternoon). Time at lei-sure and depart for Itea in the Gulf of Corinth. Overnight at sea.
Day 9 | Itea - Delphi - Corinth Canal - Athens
Morning optional excursion to Delphi, one of the most revered sites from the ancient world. We will disembark the ship early this morning and proceed to the ruins complex. Unlike other archaeological sites in Greece, Delphi is built on the side of a mountain. Stay awed as much for the stunning natural beauty that surround the ruins as for the ancient buildings themselves. In its prime, Delphi was revered for its wealth and reputation, attributes which grew from the site’s location as hosting the most important oracle in the classical world. The oracle had the ability to prophecy the future and give advice. Visitors from across the Greek world traveled here to consult with the oracle and responded by offering thanks to Apollo in the form of treasure. We will have a half day to walk around the ruins complex and visit the adjoining museum. Re-turn to the ship and cross the Corinth Canal. Later in the evening Captain’s Farewell Dinner and sail to Mari-na Zea. Overnight in Marina Zea.
Day 10 | Athens - Marina Zea
